Yeah i can't wait to see the new movie suit in action. the 52 one has begun to confuse me since I only keep up by looking at scans and previews but apparently Superboy is also wearing it in his comic and Superman is hanging out with him in his t-shirt/jeans outfit and I'm like " wait whaaat?"

I can explain that!

Basically, the Superman, Superboy, and Supergirl are currently in a sorta crossover called H'El on Earth. The antagonist, H'El, describes himself as an astronaut who left Krypton just before it's destruction who's been fundamentally changed by cosmic radiation, possessing crazy powerful telekinetic and teleportation powers. He says that he wants to find a way to save Krypton from destruction, and has manipulated Supergirl (fresh from her rocket to Earth herself) to help him--what he doesn't tell anyone is that in order to do it, he's willing to harness the sun's energy and destroy the solar system in the process.

In the story, H'El first targets Superboy to take him out--since he's a clone, and in Krypton, they're considered abominations. H'El does this by ripping his genetic code apart with his telekinesis. This is slowly killing Superboy, so since Superman figures that the Kryptonian armor he wears helped save his life in the past and conforms itself to the wearers genetic code, it might help hold together Superboy's DNA. That's why Superboy's currently wearing Superman's suit--and what's Clark gonna go, kick this bad guy's ass nekkid?

To be fair, it was probably done mostly because the Super-writers thought, "Wow, a lot more people liked that T-shirt and jeans look than we thought! Let's find a way to put him back in that for a while," but it was still kinda interesting.

Sorry for the novel, I just really do dig what's been going on in the Superman comics lately. :D

Lol, thanks that really cleared things up! A friend gave me the action figure of New 52 Supes so I guess I kinda have to like it. It's cool but I don't like how Jim Lee flattened his crotch out in the comics. Not cool man!

I don't think you can blame that on Lee, though--most artists have the tendency to draw the male heroes with a Ken Doll Crotch--something I find a little disconcerting and funny, especially when artists will draw their women like their clothes are painted on.
